Collection of basic access data

Based on our legitimate interests within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f. GDPR we collect data of every access to the server on which this service is located. The access data includes the name of the retrieved website, the date and time of the retrieval, browser type and version, the user’s operating system, referrer URL (the previously visited page), anonymous host name of the user’s computer (IP address). Logfile information is stored for security purposes (for example, to investigate abusive or fraudulent activities) for a maximum of 14 days and will be deleted afterwards. Data whose further retention is required for evidential purposes shall be exempted from the cancellation until final clarification of the incident.

Google Analytics

Our website uses features of the web analytics service Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheater Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA). The data processing takes place on the basis of the legal regulations of the § 96 Abs 3 TKG as well as the Art 6 para. 1 a) (consent) and / or f (legitimate interest) of the GDPR. Since the privacy of our users is important to us, the user data is pseudonymized.
Google Analytics uses so-called „cookies“, text files that are stored on your computer and that allow an analysis of the website usage by you. The information generated thereby is transmitted to Google in the USA and stored there. You can prevent this by setting up your browser so that no cookies are stored or set the appropriate cookie control. We have concluded a corresponding contract data processing contract with the provider.
Your IP address is captured, but immediately pseudonymized. As a result, only a rough localization is possible. Your IP address will be truncated by Google within the European Union or in another state party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area and thereby anonymized. The last 8 bits of an IPv4 address are set to 0, with an IPv6 address the last 80 of the 128 bits. The user data is kept for a period of 26 months.
Google uses this information to evaluate the use of our site, to compile reports on our website activities, and to provide other services related to website activity and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties if required by law or as far as third parties process this data on behalf of Google. Google does not claim to link your IP address to any other data provided by Google. Please find the current Google Privacy Policy here: https://www.google.com/intl/en/policies/privacy/

Facebook

We use, as part of our online offer, due to our legitimate interests in the analysis, optimization and economic operation of our online offer and for these purposes, the so-called „Facebook pixel“ of the social network Facebook, which is operated by Facebook Inc., 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA, or, if you are resident in the EU, Facebook Ireland Ltd., 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbor, Dublin 2, Ireland („Facebook“). Facebook is certified under the Privacy Shield Agreement, which provides a guarantee to comply with European data protection law.
On the one hand, it is possible for Facebook to use the Facebook pixel to determine the visitors to our online offer as a target group for the display of advertisements (so-called „Facebook ads“). Through the corresponding use of the Facebook pixel, the Facebook ads we pass through are only displayed to those Facebook users who have also shown an interest in our online offer or certain features (e.g. interests in certain topics or products that were visited on the basis of those Web pages determined), which we transmit to Facebook (so-called „Custom Audiences“). This also ensures that our Facebook ads are in line with the potential interest of users and are not annoying to you. Furthermore, we can analyse the effectiveness of the Facebook ads for statistical and market research purposes, in which we see if users were redirected to our website after clicking on a Facebook ad (so-called „conversion“).
When you visit our website, the Facebook pixel is integrated directly by Facebook and can save a small file, so-called cookie, on your device. If you subsequently log in to Facebook or visit Facebook in the logged-in state, your visit to our online offer will be noted in your profile. The data collected about you do not provide any information about the identity of the users, as they are anonymous to us. However, the data is stored and processed by Facebook. As a result, a connection to the respective user profile can be possible and used by Facebook as well as for its own market research and advertising purposes. The processing of the data by Facebook is part of Facebook’s data usage policy. Accordingly, general notes on the presentation of Facebook Ads, in the data usage policy of Facebook:
https://www.facebook.com/policy.php. For specific information and details about the Facebook Pixel and how it works, visit the help section of Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/business/help/651294705016616.

Also, based on our legitimate interests, we use the „Custom Audiences from File“ method of the Facebook, Inc. social network. In this case, the email addresses of newsletter recipients are uploaded to Facebook. The upload process is encrypted. The upload is used alone to identify recipients of our Facebook ads. We want to make sure that the ads are only displayed to users who are interested in our information and services.
You have the option to opt-out of the Facebook pixel and the use of your data to display Facebook Ads. You can set what kinds of ads you see within Facebook. Go to the page set up by Facebook and follow the instructions for the settings of usage-based advertising: https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=ads. The settings are platform independent, i.g. they are adopted for all devices, such as desktop computers or mobile devices.

Google Tag Manager

We use the service on our website.

The service enables us as marketers to manage website tags via an interface. The tool that implements the tags is a cookie-less domain and does not itself collect any personal data. The service triggers other tags, which in turn may collect data. The service does not access this data. If a deactivation has been made at the domain or cookie level, this remains in place for all tracking tags implemented with the service.

We use the service on our website.

We use the service for sending our newsletter. For this purpose, the data you provide when registering for the newsletter is passed on to the provider. The provider can also perform conversion tracking, i.e. determine whether a previously desired action has taken place after clicking on the hyperlink in the newsletter e-mail. In addition, technical information such as the time of the retrieval, your IP address, data about your web browser as well as the operating system are collected. This data is collected exclusively pseudonymously. The data is not linked to other personal data. A direct reference to a person is therefore excluded.
