Especially the Flexenbahn makes skiing on the Arlberg even more versatile and comfortable. Thanks to this connecting lift between Zürs and Stuben/Rauz, skiers can reach all the towns on the Arlberg easily and comfortably on skis - from St. Anton and St. Christoph to Stuben, Zürs, Lech and Oberlech to Schröcken and Warth. This increases the variety and thus the winter sports pleasure on the Arlberg to a new incredible dimension.

For a long time, the Arlberg has stood proverbially for pioneering spirit in winter sports. Numerous people shaped alpine skiing and the technology for it. Hannes Schneider, born in Stuben am Arlberg, is considered one of the great pioneers in this field. His alpine skiing style, the legendary Arlberg technique, revolutionized skiing worldwide. Thanks to courageous pioneers and thinkers like Hannes Schneider and their numerous innovations, the Arlberg became known worldwide as the "cradle of alpine skiing".

Extraordinary skiing experiences on the Arlberg

A new chapter in this story was written in the 2016/17 winter season: With the new connecting lift between Zürs and Stuben/Rauz, the Trittkopf lifts I and II, which were also built in 2016, as well as the Albona lift II, the circle is closed - from Zürs, the Trittkopf lift I then leads to the new intermediate station, from where skiers can either continue to the new top station of the Trittkopf lift II or take the new Flexen lift to Alpe Rauz in Stuben. Here, the also new Albonabahn II invites skiers to continue their journey in Stuben.

Skiing in Lech Zürs

Unlimited skiing pleasure on perfectly groomed slopes

In addition, skiers can comfortably explore the ski areas in St. Christoph and St. Anton from Alpe Rauz. Conversely, the Flexenbahn takes them from Stuben/Rauz to the intermediate station or mountain station of the Trittkopfbahn and thus to Zürs. From there, skiers can get to Lech and even further to Warth-Schröcken. This makes Ski Arlberg the largest connected ski area in Austria, with 305 km of ski runs and 87 lifts and cable cars available to winter sports enthusiasts!

Every destination in the Arlberg ski area can then be reached quickly, easily and comfortably on skis. At the same time, a new, grandiose ski circuit will be created: the "Run of Fame" will increase the skiing experience to a maximum of 65 kilometers of ski runs! The ski circuit covers the entire Arlberg and shows the entire dimension of the now completely connected ski area: from Warth in the north via Lech Zürs with the new Flexenbahn to St. Anton/Rendl in the south, the entire ski area of Ski Arlberg is thus skied. An average skier needs almost a day for such a round trip across the Arlberg, for example from Warth to St. Anton and back again.
